About our host:

DOER (Deep Ocean Exploration & Research) Marine is a woman-owned small business founded in 1992 and located in Alameda for the past 25 years. The company designs, builds, and uses subsea, environmental and diving technology for clients worldwide. It supports the Bay Area scuba diving community via a public-facing “explore the store.”

The company was awarded an East Bay Innovation Award and was featured in a cover story in Oakland Magazine and the Alameda Journal.

DOER’s clients are an eclectic mix--from mega yacht owners to state/federal governments, from the BBC to National Geographic and Discovery channels. DOER is based in “Hanger 41” on the former naval air base, adaptively re-using the building on the cutting edge of blue/green technology that makes a difference.
