Description
You are cordially invited to our first meeting of the Alameda Women Leaders Group (AWL).
Our virtual kick-off session on May 24th at 9:00 AM will be led by a local inspiration, a woman who has spent her life serving our area even in times when leadership positions were dominated by men. Mayor Marilyn Ezzy Ashcraft will speak about her experiences in leadership as well as offer inspiration for those looking to lead.
If you have ever wanted a supportive network of women leaders and businesswomen, joining AWL and attending our kick-off meeting is a fantastic opportunity.
At AWL you have the opportunity to:
Exchange ideas and knowledge
Discuss matters affecting women in a supportive, understanding environment
Listen to creative ideas and discover inspiration
Explore collaborative opportunities
Get motivated to do more and be more but also say no
Uncover how others achieve work/life balance
Develop friendships with women in business
Finally, this is your chance to be a part of something from the beginning. The group is just starting, and your input can help shape exactly what it becomes.
Won’t you join us on May 24th ? It’s a small amount of time out of your day but a big investment in your professional growth.
AWL is a diverse, women-led group designed to empower and support women in business through leadership, advocacy, education, scholarship, and mentorship. No matter where they are in their career, we look to help women meet their personal and professional goals and create valuable relationships in a supportive environment. AWL's partnership with Girls Inc. of the Island City will provide powerful role models, career mentors, and internship opportunities for the girls and teens they serve.
