We are a family restaurant located in East Oakland looking for a new addition to our team who is energetic, good with people, customer service oriented, and willing to learn. Qualifications: • Able to stand for 5 to 9 hours. • Must be able to stoop, kneel and lift 25 lbs or more. • Able to work in a collaborative environment with a broad range of individuals and skill sets. • Basic English communication skills • Work authorization: United States (Required) • Be able to obtain a food handler card in the first 30 days. • Prior kitchen experience is a plus • Punctual, patient, and mindful • Ability to read and/or follow written and verbal instructions and implement at the same time, especially under pressure. • Ability to speak clearly and listen attentively to other employees, customers and manager. • Ability to understand policies and procedures and to follow them. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Keeping quality controls, ensuring that every plate of food served up to our standards. • Proper handling and storage of all foods including, cooling and holding temperatures, labeling and FIFO rotation. • Assisting in daily kitchen operations. • Maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, prep area, and storeroom. • Ability to possess and demonstrate working well in a fast-paced environment. • Establish priorities based on the kitchen's needs.
